Screech owls are as beneficial as they are cute. Lots of mice, crickets, moths and grasshoppers are eaten by these tiny raptors.
This model has dual function as it is just the right size for American Kestrels to nest too. I say “American” because the male Kestrel is Red, White and Blue!
These tiny falcons consume 400 lbs. of mice, rats, gophers, moles, voles and insects per year, per pair. This makes Kestrels the most beneficial American raptor, second only to Barn Owls.
